On the A2 near Vinkeveen, a wrong-way driver collided with an oncoming car last night. At least one person was killed and several people were seriously injured. It is not known how many injured there are.
The wrong-way driver collided head-on with another car, police said. According to a spokesperson, the damage is very extensive. The collision happened on the A2 from Amsterdam in the direction of Utrecht.
The A2 at Vinkeveen is closed in both directions. Traffic is being diverted by the police.
Nothing is known about the victims. The cars both had a Dutch registration.
