One person was killed in a serious traffic accident in IJsselstein in Utrecht on Saturday evening. It concerns a man of 29 years from IJsselstein. He was one of the drivers of the four vehicles.
Three people were injured, two of whom were taken to hospital. The third was treated at the scene.
The accident happened on Utrechtseweg in IJsselstein. Police are not yet able to say exactly what happened.
The emergency services responded with several vehicles, and a trauma helicopter was also called. The fire brigade had to be called in to free some occupants from their vehicles. The road was closed for several hours for investigation.
