Dead and injured in collision with wrong-way driver on A16 near Prinsenbeek

Around midnight on the A16 near Prinsenbeek, three people were killed in an accident involving a wrong-way driver. Three people were injured, police said. A dog was also reported to have died.

A wrong-way driver collided with another vehicle, according to police. Police, ambulance and fire brigade are on site, as is an air ambulance.

The A16 motorway is closed in both directions. Police traffic specialists are investigating the accident at the scene. The highway will remain closed to traffic during the investigation. It is not yet clear how long that will take.
