At a shooting at a comedy show in Berlin at least one death was reported on Friday night German media. At least four people were injured. The shooters have fled.
The shooting took place at the Tempodrom, an event location in the Kreuzberg district where a comedy show was going on at the time. Part of the audience would have thought the shots were part of the show. This would have led to confusion for a short time.
There are many police and emergency services present at the event location. The area has been fenced off by heavily armed agents. The visitors to the comedy show are guided outside.
It is not known how serious the victims’ injuries are. According to German media, three of the four wounded themselves went to the hospital. One victim would be in a bad way.
Shortly before the shooting, disagreement would have arisen at the event location. It is not yet clear whether the fight and the shooting are related.
The police assume multiple offenders. They have fled and are still being sought.
