SUPERLEAGUE 2023-2024 / PLAYOFFS / PAO – AEK (MARKOS HOZOURIS / EUROKINISSI)
THE Panathinaikos was summoned to an apology by DEAB for “alleged use of violence by 100 fans” in the derby with AEK. According to the indictment, 20 fans entered Th 13, without ticket control, and for that reason the specific door may be closed for the match between the clover and the Ghoul which is set to take place on April 13.
In the DEAB Press Release it is stated: “PAE PANATHINAIKOS is invited to a hearing on Wednesday 10/04/2024 at 11:00, regarding the alleged use of violence by approximately one hundred (100) of its fans, of which twenty (20) entered en masse, without ticket control, at gate 13 of the “APOSTOLOS NIKOLAIDES” sports facility before the football match PANATHINAIKOS – AEK for the playoffs of the SUPERLEAGUE championship on 3-4-2024. Pursuant to the provision of par. 9 of article 41C of Law 2725/1999, as amended by Article 6 of Law 5085/2024″.
In the relevant provision of the law it is stated that “if the violation is confirmed within the sports facility, the D.E.A.B. decides on the temporary ban on the use by spectators of specific zones or sections of the stands of the facility for one (1) to two (2) matches. In case of a) confirmation of extensive violations of this within the sports facility during the same sports meeting, the D.E.A.B. decides to hold sports meetings without the presence of spectators for one (1) to two (2) games…”.
