By decision of the DEAB, Gate 13 will not be opened for one matchday, specifically in the game of Panathinaikos against Lamia, due to incidents created by the shamrock fans in the derby with AEK. This is yet another administrative penalty from the DEAB, which had also punished PAOK with a matchday that saw them in the premiere of the playoffs against Aris.
The decision states:
“The Permanent Committee for Combating Violence (D.EA.V.) with today’s decision: Imposed at the expense of P.A.E. PANATHINAIKOS the administrative sanction of the temporary ban on the use by spectators of gate 13, of the “Apostolos Nikolaidis” stadium, for one (1) matchday in any National competition, because during the football match for the Play Offs of the Super League 2023-2024 championship, between the teams PANATHINAIKOS – A.E.K., at the “Apostolos Nikolaidis” stadium on 3-4-2024 at around 20:10, a group of approximately one hundred (100) P.A.E. fans. PANATHINAIKOS forcibly broke through the police barricade at the junction of Koniari – Armatolon and Klefton streets and attempted to enter the stadium, specifically at gate 13.
In the end, they managed to enter it en masse about twenty (20) fans with the use of force and without ticket control. This fact emerges from the material of the electronic surveillance system (cameras) of the “Apostolos Nikolaidis” stadium, which were operating normally, as well as from the suggestive report of the competent Police Authority. Application of Article 6 of Law 5085/2024″.
