The information is signed Digitimes. Its industry sources say the forecast around the price of RAM is not positive. The prices will be revised downwards. Slowly but surely the industry is preparing a drop of 10% at most during the fourth quarter.
RAM, lower prices until 2021
The explanation is quite simple. Price is the result of the relationship between supply and demand. The current context is at the origin of overproduction so that the needs are lower than the available stocks. In a simpler way, there is a surplus in RAM, which leads to a fall in prices. It is expected to continue until 2021.
It will not be eternal, however. Memory manufacturers will try to quickly adjust their production capacities to match demand
