The Paralympic Games is freestyle, the most important event that many athletes look forward to. In addition to competitive sports, popular sports, prevention and rehabilitation as well as DBS youth are also important pillars of the German Disabled Sports Association and the National Paralympic Committee (DBS). V. The umbrella society for people with disabilities has existed in its current form since 1951. In the more than 70 years, the society’s requirements and expectations have constantly evolved and the organization has grown which covers the whole spectrum of sports for people with disabilities. With the mobile inclusion for more participation in sports: this campaign aims to show the diversity of inclusive sports, give practical tips and encourage visitors to do sports together. For this, events, schools and clubs are visited.
Here are your tasks:
- Support in planning, implementing, supporting and following up the project “Inclusion Mobile – Sport United” funded by REWE and Aktion Mensch.
- Assisting with project implementation (reports, evidence to funding providers)
- Organize and implement up to 50 site visits to schools/sports clubs and events
- Assistance in obtaining equipment and supplies (tendering and implementation)
- Representation of the project at events
- Coordinate coordination with internal and external experts, service providers and partners
- Participation in project-related press work and public relations
Here’s what to bring:
- Completed training, preferably in the fields of sports and fitness clerkship, event management or equivalent skills and experience
- Willingness to undertake extended business trips and weekend assignments
- Knowledge of organized sports structures in Germany
- Strong knowledge of sports for people with disabilities
- Practical experience in project management is a plus
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, structured and above average independent approach
