« This collective exhibition questions dazzlement, this moment when each of the photographers plunged towards a light, a wonder whether internal, external or concomitant to both. It also invites us, in an underlying way, to consider our own dazzlement.
With these six proposals, there is reason to be dazzled. The photographic selections made by Rachel Hardouin and Olivier Bourgoin offer so many ways, if not to understand this light which nestles in each of us or in each of the photographers, at least to apprehend it.
While the pictorial universes of each are independent, there nevertheless emerges a cohesion both formal and meaningful from this whole. The mind navigates, wanders, escapes and rejoins itself. The light is there, the light that we carry within us, the light that artists offer us. You have to immerse yourself in it, follow it, without trying to give it a precise meaning. Maybe that’s dazzling yourself? This ability to go beyond what is, to invent a world within the world.
At a time when magic is almost absent from our lives, where the virtual condemns humans to no longer speak to each other, to know each other, to connect, … and to dazzle each other… is a moment of grace. These moments of communion, of sharing, of commonality have become rare where the artists and the public do more than show and watch. So, it’s about taking advantage of it, seizing this opportunity given to us to build something else, even for a short time.
Let’s dream, let’s marvel at our lives, at images, at Art.
Let’s travel into these dissimilar and intertwined universes.
Let us, for a moment, become dazzled again… »

It is also an opportunity to discover the new work, the Island, by Estelle Lagarde, a photographer that readers of Chronicles know well. Indeed, for Estelle Lagarde, an architecture graduate, it is the encounter with a place which is, for her, the triggering and tangible factor of a visual construction. This meeting is also the opportunity for a fiction, a narration… In a return movement, it is also the moment of questioning reality, its own and that of our time.
In her latest works, she gives a new direction to her photographic scenes, now situating them in a natural landscape.
