Dazzling attacking play secured a fourth consecutive Premier League victory

Manchester United played their first game of 2023 and handled an out-of-form Bournemouth well, winning 3-0.

Casemiro gave United the lead after Christian Eriksen found him with a beautifully curled free-kick.

Luke Shaw doubled the lead just after the break with an attack he started himself and was credited with finishing.

Marcus Rashford was credited with making it 3–0 with another fierce goal with four minutes left to score United’s third goal in just his sixth consecutive game at Old Trafford.

United could overtake Newcastle if Arsenal play the match between the teams in London, but they finished 0-0 there meaning United remain in fourth place, but are now one point behind Newcastle and one point behind the Manchester City, who meet Chelsea on Thursday.

Bruno Fernandes played his 150th game for United and got his 100th Premier League game, while David de Gea rises to tenth on the record for most games for the club while playing his 510th game for United .
