According to “Sports Pro Media”, the sports streaming provider DAZN has secured the live rights for the Saudi Pro League in Austria, Great Britain, Germany, Asia and the USA for the 2023/24 season. The deal covers the equivalent of more than 450,000 euros.
Two to three games from the desert state should be available live per week. Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s club, is included every week. There are highlights for every game.
Saudi Pro League is booming
The league has boomed since Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Al Nassr. In addition to ex-Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle, Riyad Mahrez, Edouard Mendy, Roberto Firmino (all Al-Ahli), Fabinho, N’Golo Kante, Karim Benzema (all Ittihad), Malcolm, Ruben Neves, Koulibaly and Milinkovic followed -Savic (Al-Hilal).
The Ronaldo club also hit hard, with Marcelo Brozovic, Alex Telles and Sadio Mane moving there.
With Steven Gerrard, Al-Ettifaq has a Liverpool legend as coach, who was also able to guide midfielder Jordan Henderson, another icon of the “Reds” to the club.
