Subscribers to DAZN in Germany and Austria can look forward to the games of the Spanish league in the coming years.

DAZN has been receivable in Germany since 2016 and since then the streaming service has been securing more and more rights for live sports broadcasts. There is regular competition between the US company and its largest competitor, Sky.

But one league has accompanied DAZN in Germany since the beginning: the Spanish league around the top clubs from Madrid and Barcelona as well as superstar Lionel Messi. It will stay that way in the long term. On Sunday evening it was announced that the contract had been extended for another five years.
“Almost exactly five years ago, DAZN started with the aim of revolutionizing the way fans can experience their favorite sport,” said Thomas de Buhr, the media group’s head of Germany, commenting on the deal.
The Spanish league was an integral part of this strategy from the start, he continues. “It is all the better that fans in Germany and Austria will be able to watch all games from the Spanish top league live and exclusively on DAZN for the next five years,” says de Buhr.
