Days Gone 2, currently one of the most desired games among the PlayStation community, was allegedly in development.
This is evidenced by a slide from the presentation leaked from Insomniac Games’ servers – let us remind you that Sony’s key studio has recently been dealing with a leak, thanks to which we learned about their plans for the future.

The graphic from Imgur shown below shows that Days Gone 2 was in the development phase together with the new installment of the Uncharted franchise. Looking at the details regarding the budget and hiring new employees, Days Gone 2 was a cheaper game on paper.
Despite this, Hermen Hulst, responsible for PlayStation Studios – according to reports from last year – did not give the green light to Bend Studio to continue Deacon’s adventures. This is particularly regretted by the former director of Bend Studio, Jeff Ross, who admitted that if everything had gone according to the developers’ intention, we would be able to play Days Gone 2 today.
Currently, Bend Studio is allegedly developing a project using the Decima engine (already used for Death Stranding and the Horizon series). According to rumors, it will include an online mode and an open world, and its premiere is planned for 2025.
