On the night from Saturday to Sunday, the clock went forward at 2:00 AM to 3:00 AM. This means that summer time has started. Many people sleep an hour less as a result.
Summer time was once devised so that people could make more use of daylight and save on electric lighting, for example. Changing the clock means that it is dark longer in the morning and light longer in the evening.
Opponents of daylight saving time doubt how much energy the adjustment will save. Many people also say they are physically bothered by the shift, because it disrupts the biological clock. In addition, changing the clock causes more collisions with wildlife. Animals such as deer, deer and wild boar have to get used to the rhythm of humans.
On the last weekend of October, the clocks are turned back one hour and winter time starts. Winter time is considered ‘normal’ time.
