day to get rid of bad memories 2022

María Florencia, originally from Argentina, got rid of the bad vibes of 2022 by tearing up the colored card, throwing it in the trash and hitting the problems, in the ritual of Good Riddance Day.

Or what is the same, the day to break free and get rid of all the bad things of the year that is coming to an end.

“The bad vibes that are happening in our country, the dollar is very high and for those of us who have children, grandchildren here, it is very difficult to come and hug each other and this is something that hurts,” Florencia explained.

Mariana Micolta also joined this traditional appointment.

“It’s been a good year for me and 23 will be even better,” said Micolta.

-And what will you get rid of?

myculta.

“Hate, Resentment and Guilt”.

The symbolic ceremony, organized by the 16-year Times Square Alliance, is an opportunity for New Yorkers and tourists alike to leave behind unpleasant memories of the old year by burning or tearing them apart.

“Full speed to 2023 🏃‍♀️ Celebrating #GoodRiddanceDay in Times Square today! Thanks to our friends at @Netspend for helping us cross the finish line 🏁,” the Alliance wrote in a social media post.

And while the bad vibes, bad times, and negative from 2022 haven’t burned off this year, all of that has been thrown away to start 2023 clean.

Hundreds of people read their problems, broke free and with one precise blow knocked them out. They then circled an obstacle course and reached the 2023 milestone, where they received an envelope with $30.

“I was losing my sight, they fired me from my job with no benefits and nothing, I came to bring bad luck,” said José Alejandro Rodríguez.

The ‘Naked Cowboy’ also attended the event.

“You take your problem objectively, write it down on paper, and when you get rid of it, it’s like a heavy anchor that you free yourself from, to achieve success, a great technique to get out of problems,” said the naked cowboy .
