However, the official introduction only took place in 1906, which was initiated by another famous ornithologist, Otto Herman.

Their goal was to make botany and ornithology widely known and loved by young people and adults alike. Above all, the commitment to nature conservation guides all those teachers and professionals who commemorate this noble day year after year. And they selflessly pass on their knowledge to the younger generations. During the World War, this tradition was somewhat worn out, and after that it was slowly revived from 1994, and thus it is celebrated by both kindergarteners and schoolchildren to this day. In such cases, they plant trees, place birdhouses and try to be outside in nature as much as possible. In 1996, the date of May 10 was officially determined.
