The emergency services announced that they extinguished the fire at a large oil refinery in Russia, two hours after it was hit by a drone, the TASS news agency reported on Thursday morning, as quoted by The Guardian.
TASS said the incident took place at the Ilsky refinery near the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk in the Krasnodar region.
A day earlier, a fuel depot in the west caught fire near a bridge linking Russia to the occupied Crimea peninsula.
“A second hectic night for our emergency services,” Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev wrote on Telegram, adding that oil product tanks were on fire at the Ilsky refinery.
