Dax: end of archaeological excavations in the Adour, a medieval bridge studied

After 16 years of research and 4 years of underwater excavations in the Adour, the mission of the National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research in Dax finally ended on Friday. The archaeological divers have worked all this time to understand and highlight how our ancestors lived by the river, how they crossed it. In particular, the remains of a medieval bridge have been measured. INRAP will report on all this research within 3 years.
