Dávinson Sánchez’s Future: Tottenham Hotspur’s Plans for the Colombian Defender Up in the Air

With the teams returning to their training and competition work, ahead of what will be the start of the following season, there are still several players who remain up in the air about what their professional future will be. Dávinson Sánchez is one of them, because, despite having a contract with Tottenham Hotspur, the English have no plans for this season.

However, as Fabrizio Romano, an expert in transactional movements in international football, stated through his social networks, the next few days will be key to defining what will be the new destination of the Colombian defender, who already has a formal offer on the table from Russian territory.

“Tottenham and Spartak Moscow agreed on 12 million euros, plus an add-on fee for Dávinson Sánchez”, initially indicated the Italian journalist, who also revealed what will be the step to be followed between all parties to close the signing for the “coffee grower” central defender: “The deal depends on the player, the ‘spurs’ are still waiting for their final decision”.

Faced with this panorama, it can be concluded that the one who has the final word on his future will be the same Cauca, currently part of the main group in training and practices during this preseason, in which they already lost 3-2 against West Ham in a duel of blanks.

In any case, it is important to clarify that, different from what it was a few years ago, Sánchez is currently the center of criticism from the ‘spurs’ fans, who seek and ask for his departure, after a season last in which Dávinson was involved in the bad results and sports performance of the team.

So much so, that the same Colombian was whistled and whistled by the same Tottenham fans in a Premier League match, which unleashed sadness and impotence in him, to the point of sitting on the substitute bench with his hand covering his face and his head lowered.

In addition to that, corresponding to the first pre-season game, the new ‘spurs’ coach, Ange Postecoglou, gave Dávinson a few minutes on the field against the ‘Hummers’ in a warm-up duel, however, Sánchez questioned his current level, seeing himself compromised in one of West Ham’s goals, which in the end ended up winning 3-2.

The only thing that is certain so far is that, despite the fact that the final decision on his future is made by the same central defender, Tottenham have no intention of counting on him for next season, so, in their objective of regaining confidence, level and filming, the offer from Russia would not be seen with ‘evil eyes’.
