Several Colombian soccer players hope to define their future in the transfer market; one of them the central defender Davinson Sánchez, and it is almost a fact that he will not continue in the ranks of Tottenham in England, in which he is one of the footballers most questioned by the Spurs fans.

The 27-year-old defender played a total of 24 games last season in which he could not convert or provide assists for his squad, which finished in eighth position in the Premier League, being left out of the places that grant places to international tournaments.

The man born in Caloto (Cauca) was part of Néstor Lorenzo’s squad for the friendly matches of the Colombian team against Iraq and Germany respectively. The former Ajax played the 90 minutes of the match against the Asians with a rating of 7.1 according to the records of 365 Scores.

In the historic victory over Germany in Gelsenkirchen, Davinson Sánchez entered injury time for Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, who scored the second goal against the Teutons, while the score was the work of Luis Díaz.

Despite his poor performance with Spurs, there are several clubs that are interested in having the services of Atlético Nacional, which has been surveyed by teams from Brazil and Turkey. Now it is rumored that a Russian football squad is following the steps of the former Atlético Nacional de Medellín.

According to information from Win Sporst journalist Felipe Sierra, the former Ajax Amsterdam player is very close to changing teams for next season. If he were transferred to Russian football, he would not be able to participate in European competitions due to the sanction imposed by UEFA on this country for the war it is having with Ukraine.

“EXCL. Davinson Sánchez (27) is very close to becoming a new #SpartakMoscow player. There is already an agreement with #Tottenham and they hope to close the personal terms of the Colombian in the next few hours. The defender does not look badly on his arrival in Russian football ”.

In the game in which Spurs hosted reigning UEFA Conference League champions West Ham, Sánchez was in the spotlight, but not for the right reasons. The native of Caloto was involved in the play that ended in the Hammers’ winning goal and all the responsibility fell on his shoulders.

At the height of the 77th minute, West Ham recovered the ball in midfield and filtered a pass for him. That is where the error denounced by Spurs fans came in, since the Colombian hung up on the play, could not intercept the assist and left his team in a bad position, who could not prevent their goal from falling.

In social networks they did not take long to “crucify” the center-back, claiming that his level is no longer enough to be in the club and that they even prefer that he not play for the team again while they manage to finalize his sale to another team:

“Can we please not play Davinson Sánchez while we try to sell him? Absolutely, nobody gains anything by giving him minutes, except the opposition. And before anyone speaks, I’m trying to help the boy. It’s cruel to play with him.” -@footballconfid1

“I had never seen a player so nervous with or without the ball. Davinson Sanchez is a complete risk” -@AdamOsmond5100

“I know it’s just a friendly (so nothing to worry about), but at any level, there are defense basics that should be second nature. There are 2-3 very worrying aspects of Sanchez’s game in this short clip that should be huge red flags.” -@footballconfid1

Sánchez has a contract with the British team until mid-2024, so if he does not find an attractive offer in this transfer window, he could wait until December and there again look for his departure before becoming a free agent.
