Dávinson Sánchez Joins Galatasaray: Leaving Tottenham for a Fresh Start in Turkey

Dávinson Sánchez has a new team. This Monday, the central defender born in Caloto was announced by Galatasaray, one of the biggest clubs in Turkey. After seven seasons at Tottenham, which were full of ‘ups and downs’, the Colombian defender will ‘change scenery’ and seek to rediscover the level that allowed him to be one of the most coveted defenders in European clubs.

Sánchez had little continuity in recent seasons with the ‘spurs’. The 27-year-old from Cauca had bad times with coaches like José Mourinho, Nuno and Antonio Conte. Let’s remember that the English team disbursed a figure close to 42 million euros to get the services of the Colombian, for which the expectations were high. However, they never finished their birthday and six years later, he went to Turkish football for 9.5 million euros.

This Monday, Sánchez arrived at the concentration of the Colombian National Team as he was one of those summoned by Néstor Lorenzo to face Venezuela and Chile. That same day, Galatasaray published the following statement.
