Davinson Sánchez is the bitten dog with the supporters of Tottenham Hotspur. The ex-Ajax player was booed by his own fans during the Premier League game with Bournemouth, while his substitution was received with cheers.
Sánchez made a mistake in Dominic Solanke’s 1-2, much to the dissatisfaction of the fans. Interim manager Cristian Stellini decided to put the Colombian defender out of his misery after 58 minutes. He was replaced by Arnaut Danjuma. Extra painful: Sánchez himself came on after 35 minutes for the injured Clément Lenglet.
Afterwards, Spurs captain Hugo Lloris stood up for Sánchez. “The whistling started when he came in.
