In particular, on July 22, the US Department of Defense published its Arctic Strategy 2024, in which the Department of Defense will take action, in collaboration with allies and partners, to protect the Arctic maintained as a secure and stable area.

David has been in continuous operation since 1825 and has built over 720 unique vessels, including many icebreakers. Davie is currently building the world’s largest heavy icebreaker contract for Canada, one of the founding partners of the ICE agreement. Davie is also the proud owner of Helsinki Shipyard in Finland, another ICE Pact founder known for its outstanding polar container supply chain. Founded in 1865, the Helsinki shipyard has built more than 50% of today’s global icebreaker fleet.

Davie has supported America’s skilled shipbuilders on strategic projects such as the US Navy’s Nimitz-class aircraft carriers and Arleigh Burke-class destroyers.
