David Warner Scores 400+ Runs for the 9th Time in IPL

The 64th match of IPL 2023 is being held in Dharamsala, Himachal. Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals are locked horns with each other.

In the match, Punjab captain Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and sent the opponents into bat. Captain David Warner and Prithvi Shah reached the crease for the first wicket.

Unlike usual, Dharamsala was the venue for Prithvi Shah’s breakthrough performance. Shaw’s first half-century of the season was crucial. Along with Shaw, David Warner on the other side was also crushed.

Both of them built a first wicket partnership of 94 runs. The player scored 46 runs from 31 balls including five fours and two sixes.

Warner also managed to cross the 400 run mark with his 46 runs against Punjab. This is the ninth time in IPL career that Warner has scored 400+ runs in IPL.

Warner’s comeback from where even his career was thought to be over at the peak of his form out.

Warner has scored 430 runs from the 13 matches he has played so far this season.

Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan have crossed this mark in the IPL, but they could not dominate as much as Warner in scoring. None of them have been able to perform as well as Warner in terms of average and strike rate. For this reason, there are not few people who say that Warner is the greatest of all time in IPL.

Warner has scored 6,311 runs in the IPL so far. Warner is the only foreign player to complete 5000 and 6000 runs in IPL.
