Hobart: Aussie superstar David Warner about the historic achievement in cricket while coming out in the first T20 match against West Indies. Warner has crossed the milestone of 100 international matches in all three formats of cricket. Warner achieved this rare feat in the 100th T20I of his career.
David Warner is the third player to achieve this historic feat. Before Warner, former New Zealand player Ross Taylor and Indian player Virat Kohli are the players who have played 100 international matches in all three formats. After playing his 100th Test match in 2020, Kiwis superstar Ross Taylor became the first to cross this milestone. The player played 112 Tests, 236 ODIs and 102 T20Is for New Zealand.
Later, Indian star batsman Virat Kohli also became the owner of this honour. The former captain played 113 Test matches and played 292 ODIs and 117 T20Is. But Warner also achieved a breakthrough that Taylor and Kohli could not achieve. Warner also made history as the only player to score 50-plus in his 100th match across all formats. In the first match of the T20 series against West Indies, Warner scored 70 runs from just 36 balls. Aussies won by 11 runs on the strength of the star’s innings.
