David Ozora’s Family Disappointed that Mario Dandy’s Decision Was Postponed, South Jakarta District Court: No Deliberate Elements

WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, SUNDAY MARKET- The South Jakarta District Court responded to David Ozora’s disappointment regarding the postponement of the trial of charges against the defendants Mario Dandy and Shane Lukas.

As is known, the trial of charges against Mario Dandy and Shane Lukas was postponed, because the Public Prosecutor had not yet recovered the charge files.

South Jakarta District Court Public Relations Officer, Djuyamto, said that there was no intentional element in delaying the trial of the lawsuit.

When the Public Prosecutor is not ready to read out the charges, said Djuyamto, of course the Panel of Judges has the authority to postpone the trial.

“This means that a postponement is still possible, so there is nothing to do with intent to prolong this trial,” he told media crew, Monday (14/8/2023).

In addition, Djuyamto also dismissed the victim’s statement that the South Jakarta District Court took too long to handle this case.

In fact, David Ozora’s father, Jonathan Latumahina, said that the trial of Mario Dandy and Shane Lukas had been going on for six months.

Djuyamto also dismissed this by saying that this trial had started since June 6, 2023, so that the trial process for Mario Dandy and Shane Lukas had only been going on for two months.

“Regarding the handling of criminal cases against defendants Mario Dandy and Shane Lukas, the first trial will be held on June 6, 2023,” he said.

“This means that the trial process at the South Jakarta District Court, until tomorrow, has only been about two months, so not six months as stated by the victim,” he continued.

As previously known, David Ozora admitted that he was disappointed with the postponement of the hearing on Mario Dandy and Shane Lukas’ charges, last Thursday (10/8/2023).

David Ozora’s father, Jonathan Latumahina, considered that the South Jakarta District Court took too long to handle the abuse case that his son had experienced.

Jonathan continued, the handling of the case could proceed quickly because the case was not a big case, such as a mega-scandal case.

“Is there a case of persecution that lasted up to six months, suddenly today was canceled and the legal team wasn’t all there, why? This must be noted that the legal system in this country must be guarded, otherwise this will continue,” Jonathan told reporters. , Thursday (10/8/2023).

“This should be fast, a case like this, this is not a case that looks like a mega-scandal or anything, but there could be a mega-scandal, in the end we think that way where there are cases of abuse that last up to six months,” he continued. (m41)
