David Moyes couldn’t hide his frustration following West Ham’s elimination in the Europa League semi-finals. To the point of cracking and being excluded at the end of the game.
In the 78th minute, the Hammers coach saw red after attacking a ball boy who was a little too slow for his taste. The teenager ended up sending the ball back at the feet of Moyes who, visibly annoyed, fired in the leather in the direction of the ball boy, without reaching him. The referee saw the incident well and did not hesitate to show the red card against the Scot.
“I apologize, but he sent it back to me very gently”, justified Moyes in a press conference. “It came perfectly for a volley,” he continued before reiterating his apologies.
