David Moberg Karlsson Close to Agreement with IFK Göteborg

The tours around David Moberg Karlsson, 29, continue.

About two weeks ago, Expressen Fotboll stated that the offensive play is still highly relevant for IFK Göteborg, but that he waited until the international transfer windows would close again. Now most of the international transfer windows have closed and David Moberg Karlsson looks to be on his way back to the Allsvenskan.

According to Greek athlosnews.gr, the former IFK Norrköping and Sparta Prague player is “very close” to an agreement with Blåvitt. The Express sits on similar data and states that the transfer sum lands at five million kroner. The newspaper states that the 29-year-old will be presented shortly.

“DMK” currently belongs to Greek side Aris Thessaloniki, to whom he is on loan from Japanese Urawa Red Diamonds. The Greek club has a forced purchase option written into the deal with the Japanese club and therefore DMK negotiations are taking place with Aris. According to athlosnews.gr, Akis Mantzios, coach of Aris, has informed “DMK” if he is not part of the future plans.

The other day, Ola Larsson, technical director at Blåvitt, was tight-lipped about Moberg Karlsson.

– I can’t say anything there at the moment, said Larsson.

Moberg Karlsson has appeared in 17 competitive matches for Aris Thessaloniki this season.
