While starting business studies, David Lempell did not find his happiness there and gave up after a semester. “My parents urged me to continue my studies, says the singer. But having been immersed in music very early on, I really wanted to devote myself fully to it. ”
David Lempell thus devotes himself to his passion. He begins with small cafes concerts where he takes the greatest titles of his isolates, Stevie Wonder at Justin Bieber, Passing by The Weeknd. He is also a great admirer of Justin Timberlake, Drake or Donny Hathaway.
Covers and a first esteem success
But it is especially by taking again the songs of Gims, Justin Bieber and Tayc that the singer is noticed and gives himself a beginning of notoriety on YouTube and social networks. Covers that bring him up to 300,000 views on YouTube. ” Sure each of these songs, I wanted to bring my own touch ”, explains David Lempell.

After a first esteem success, the singer decides to write and defend his own lyrics. This is how he composed his first two songs: Isolated, in which he talks about loneliness, jealousy and betrayal. Then No matter the cost, a title with romantic urban pop sounds. Two titles released respectively in March and April. “On ‘Isolated’ I wanted to show a dark side of me. While on “Cost whatever”, I wanted to bring out my solar side more. This very contradictory dark and solar duality is what characterizes me ”, testifies David Lempell. Like his covers, his first two original titles conquered the public, to the point of making the artist “Crazy”, In the correct meaning of the term : “It gave me strength and motivated me to do other titles. ”
David Lempell is already preparing an EP he plans to release “At the end of 2021.” He also prepares “A little surprise” of which he will not say more. Patience.
