David Hasselhoff plays himself in German TV series | Celebrities

CelebritiesAmerican actor David Hasselhoff (68) has taken on a new role. Hasselhoff, best known for the series ‘Baywatch’ and ‘Knight Rider’, plays himself in a new German television series for the RTL streaming service TV Now. Deadline reports this.




The series is called ‘Ze Network’ and is about Hasselhoff who gets a role in a German theater play. Inadvertently, however, the actor ends up in a network of former international assassins from the Cold War. It is not yet known when Ze Network will be released.

Hasselhoff is already very enthusiastic. “The series is funny, deadly, creative and educational … great fun. You can choose whether it is fact or fiction. ” It is not the first time that Hasselhoff has played himself. For example, a few years ago he was seen in the British series ‘Hoff The Record’ where he moves to the United Kingdom in the hope of reviving his acting career.

Germany is no stranger to the actor, as the 1980s hero still has quite a successful music career in Austria and Germany. Since ‘Looking For Freedom’ became number one there in 1988, the German-speaking population can quite enjoy it. At the end of last year, The Hoff released another new song, ‘Through The Night’, with Australian heavy metal band CueStack in hopes of breaking through again.
