David Hancko Signs Contract Extension with Feyenoord and Eyes Future Transfer

David Hancko did not have to think long when Feyenoord wanted to extend his contract. The 26-year-old Slovak is in a good place at De Kuip for the time being, although he hopes to make a nice transfer in the future.

Hancko recently signed a contract until mid-2028. “Of course I am happy that the club came to me and my agent with this request,” the defender says in the magazine Hand in Hand from FSV De Feijenoorder. “After that it went very quickly. It feels like appreciation for the year and a half that I have been here. I also see it as a next step and motivation to further improve. A new contract also raises expectations.”

Hancko reveals that foreign clubs are already keeping an eye on him. “Some clubs have shown interest and of course I would like to take a step higher at some point. But I am not focusing on that at all right now. I will see, even if the club comes up with an opportunity. In any case, my agent, the club and I myself are not working on it now. If something comes up that is interesting for all parties, then we can talk about it, but now everything is mainly focused on being successful with Feyenoord.”
