Guetta last received the most votes from the public in 2011. Armin van Buuren won the four years before. In 2012 Guetta dropped to fourth place. Last year, Guetta was back in the top three for the first time.

Amsterdam Dance Event
It is the 24th time that the public can choose the best DJ in the world. The winner will traditionally be announced during AMF, which normally takes place during the Amsterdam Dance Event in a packed Johan Cruijff Arena.

During the digital edition of the AMF, major and minor names from the dance world performed. Up-and-coming talent Avalan played a set from an empty Arena and Armin van Buuren appeared from the circuit in Zandvoort. The brand new number 1, David Guetta, also performed.
