With just one year as one of the most important voices on Televisa, David Faitelson decided to break the silence and give some details about his departure from ESPN.
One of the most notable movements within the sports media, and which generated several criticisms of Faitelson for his friendship with Jose Ramon Fernandez.

After what Faitelson did on Televisa, the commentator decided to talk about his departure from ESPN, ensuring that his idea was to continue, but he received a refusal from the North American company.
“I had one year left on my contract, but it was an option, both parties had to agree to renew and I wanted to continue. But last summer, boss Rodolfo Martínez called me and told me: ‘David, we are not going to renew your contract.’ ‘…It was one of the most complicated moments of my life,” he mentioned in an interview.

Faitelson added that he understood that ESPN would lower his salary, but that was not an impediment to moving forward, but the call to fix everything never came.
“I said: ‘What I understand is that you want a renegotiation, lower my salary and I will continue with you, there is no problem, we will see how we do it, let me do radio, podcast or something’ and they told me no,” ended.
