MEXICO CITY (apro).- David Faitelson, TUDN journalist, confirmed that boxer Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez denied him accreditation for the conferences, the weigh-in ceremony and the fight in which the Mexican will face Jaime Munguía on Next May 4 at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After a press conference, Canelo Álvarez was asked if he gave the order to veto Faitelson from the coverage of his fight. However, he denied it. “Not at all, the company is the one that takes care of that, I’m not in charge of that, I’m involved in my own thing, focused on what I have to do. If the company vetoed it, it must have its reasons. “He is a person who discredits each of my fights, so why do they want him here? I think the company has many reasons,” he replied.

For his part, Faitelson explained in an interview for El Universal that it was this Wednesday, May 2, when he found out that he did not have the accreditation to cover the Canelo Álvarez fight. The media outlet questioned the journalist about whether it was the boxer who gave the order not to authorize the permit.
“For God’s sake, let’s not do it! Let’s not tell lies or suck our thumb. We all know the situation. The only thing I regret is that this sets a precedent and that from now on any manager, player, boxer, whatever, suddenly says: ‘Ah, he doesn’t speak well of me, he criticizes me… I won’t let him in.’ . That’s the problem,” he responded.
So far Televisa has not provided any statement informing what solution it will take regarding this situation. This Friday, May 3, through his social networks, Faitelson thanked TUDN for the support provided in recent days for the alleged veto carried out by Canelo.
“I want to thank my company Televisa, TUDN, all their executives and colleagues for the support they have given me in the last few hours. They have been with me in a very delicate situation. Very proud to be part of this family.”
