Tactical chess has been between the two fighters since the beginning of the fight. After the first minute, even the spectators present roared at them, as no punch had fallen by then. He arrived shortly before the end of the second minute of the opening round. The wrestlers embarked on a short shootout, from which Matheus Nicolau came out better. In the further course, however, the two again held relatively far apart. In the first round, the Brazilian managed another hit with a hook from the retreat and an exact lowkick.

David Dvořák was probably aware that in the first round his opponent had the upper hand, so he started the next part of the match more actively. His offensive resulted in a calf kick, which he soon repeated. When it seemed that the Czech wrestler would score the second round, Matheus Nicolau also led the attack in the last minute. First, David Dvořák caught two hard blows, from which he did not even have time to shake when his opponent hit him again and this time much harder. An undefeated MMA wrestler began to bleed for ten years, having to fight hard on the ground. He was in real trouble just before the end of the second round. Matheus Nicolau still tried to finish the match, but David Dvořák managed to defend himself.

Matheus Nicolau left nothing to chance in the third round. Although he struck a hard hook for his opponent, he stopped him, even though it was clear that David Dvořák had huge problems. The Brazilian was in the mood and literally destroyed him. Although Matheus Nicolau seemed to be out of breath at the end of the fight, David Dvořák could no longer take a shot to end the match before the limit.

The winner was finally decided by the judges, who rarely agreed on a score of 29:28.
