David drove a life fighter, even though she had nothing to take from it

Biathlete Markéta Davidová is no longer in the red, yet she won the best fighter race of the World Cup in Nové Město na Moravě. She only had to go to one penalty round and finished sixth.

Among the elite, David was only able to move forward in the fighter for the seventh time after the sprint. She improved last year’s eighth place with sixth place. “I’m not very able to move in the fighter, so I’m happy with it,” she said at the finish with a smile.

Although she had the third best running time from the starting field, she did not feel well on the track. “The head would like it, but the body is no longer possible. I try to motivate in the head, but I can’t squeeze too much. I have nothing to take from it,” said twenty-four-year-old David.

Before the race, she already had the impression that the stairs would not even come out of the tunnel to the stadium. “I don’t want it to sound like an excuse, a lot of races have three quarters of the starting field, but last year I felt a little better at the end of the season. I’m a little lacking in strength now,” he compares.

The world champion from the February endurance race benefited from accurate shooting. She only had to lie down on the penalty round after the first item. Then she was infallible. “I’m glad that even in situations where I have had enough, I’m able to shoot quite well. Unfortunately, I need to shoot with a faster run from time to time.”

Standing up, she seemed to be guarding her wounds to hit the black. “I like the way everyone says they’re guarded. They’re not guarded at all, I’m not able to shoot faster. It looks nice, but I’d be able to give it so slowly for three,” she said.

During the season, she was able to shoot at a faster pace while standing up. But that depends on her mood. “I can do it when I’m feeling well, but it’s definitely not like I’m going to shoot slowly on purpose. I’m able to shoot the way it suits me,” she said.

In the last lap, the fifth started just ahead of Marte Olsbu Röiseland. “I let her in front of me and thought that I would try to go with her again and I also saw the girls in front of me, but it turned out as it turned out. There were no more forces,” said Czech.
