Kiper Manchester United, David De Gea, was recently awarded the Golden Gloves. His understudy, Jack Butland, wondered why De Gea only got those two awards.
In the 36 Premier League matches that have been undertaken, MU has kept 17 clean sheets. That record is the most in the Premier League this season.
De Gea played a big role in MU’s achievements. The Spanish goalkeeper made 95 saves for Man United.
With performance By GeaDuring his time in the Premier League, Butland was amazed. The former Atletico Madrid player is considered to be able to get more awards.
“I think this might be his second Golden Glove. I’m surprised he can’t get more. But, that’s the quality of the league. He’s a top goalkeeper, he deserves it and he was very important in that clean sheet,” Butland told MU’s website.
“Where we are in the league at the moment, he played a big part and he deserves the Golden Glove,” he added.
By Gea won the Golden Glove award in the 2017/2018 season. At that time, he kept 18 clean sheets and 115 saves. De Gea’s record with MU that season could be better this season.
