David Datro Fofana en route to Chelsea

David Datro Fofana would be close to moving to Chelsea. The London club appear to be ahead of the competition to sign Brighton’s coveted striker from the next Premier League transfer window.

According to Sky SportsChelsea appear to have won the race against Brighton to sign the young Molde striker, David Datro Fofana. The two clubs are reportedly in talks on a deal and Sky Sports News he understands that Brighton have made an offer of around €10m to secure his transfer. But Chelsea have made a counter-offer and would be on the verge of winning the battle, the British media assure. He could also land in the next Premier League transfer window.

The player is said to be a Chelsea fan, but David Datro Fofana he would get more regular playing time initially at Brighton than he needs at just 19. Chelsea, however, have been optimistic about signing some of Europe’s best young talent after Todd Boehly bought the club and Fofana could join Cesari Casadei and Carney Chukwuemeka at the club. Fofana is already a two-capped Ivory Coast international and has scored 15 league goals this season and 21 in all competitions, including two in the Europa Conference League.
