With Lionel Messi (36), David Beckham (48) has succeeded in bringing one of the best footballers of all time to the USA and thus changing football there. Now the Englishman has been spotted with another world star. The rumor mill is churning.
The former England captain was holidaying with his family in Croatia, where the 48-year-old was photographed chatting with Real Madrid player Luka Modric, 37, by the pool.
This photo is not proof of negotiations or an impending move of Modric to Inter Miami, however, the photo raises dreams and hopes for some fans about a future move of the 2018 world football player to the USA.
Modric only second choice at Real Madrid?
From an individual point of view, the start of the season at Real Madrid cannot please the 37-year-old, the Croatian was not in the starting line-up in any of the first three games of the season.

It seems that a generational change has taken place in the Royal midfield, the youngsters around Eduardo Camavinga (20), Jude Bellingham (20), Aurelien Tchouameni (23) and Federico Valverde (25) have outstripped the five-time Champions League winner.
As the season progresses, Modric will still be important despite Los Blancos’ initial difficulties, as Ancelotti points out: “But he will play this season and make his contribution.”
Modric wants to end his career at Real Madrid
So far, the Croatia captain’s goal is to play his way back into the first XI at Real Madrid and end his career at the highest level and with Los Blancos: “No matter what happens, nothing can change my admiration and view of Real Madrid. Real Madrid is the club of my life.”
However, the 37-year-old could be prevented from this project after a season in which it is no longer the first choice. The upswing in the MLS since Lionel Messi moved to the States could also lead to a rethink and a calmer career end for Luka Modric in North America.
