Dave Grohl Joins Guns N’ Roses and The Pretenders at Glastonbury

Dave Grohl had a busy night on the second day of the UK music festival Glastonbury. The Foo Fighters guitarist was not only seen with The Pretenders, he also played a song with Guns N’ Roses.

“There can never be too many guitars,” Axl Rose shouted as he brought Dave Grohl onto the stage. With the Foo Fighter, the band played the hit Paradise City. It was the final piece of the concert that Guns N’ Roses gave on the Pyramid Stage, the main stage of the festival.

Earlier in the evening, Grohl crawled behind the drums during The Pretenders’ performance to play a song with that band.

There were also rumors that Paul McCartney would also show his face during the Guns N’ Roses concert. The oldest artist ever to perform at Glastonbury was on the festival grounds. It was thought that Sir Paul would come and play his hit Live And Let Die. Guns N’ Roses covered that song years ago and the song became one of the band’s success songs. “We’re helping someone celebrate the 50th anniversary of this song,” Rose said when he started Live And Let Die. McCartney wrote the song in 1973 for the James Bond film of the same name.

McCartney is at Glastonbury all weekend. He watched The Pretenders perform from the side of the Park Stage. After the last song, frontwoman Chrissie Hynde brought the ex-Beatle on stage. He waved to the enthusiastic audience. Perhaps the fans will get to see a music-making Sir Paul on Sunday evening. He is mentioned as one of the artists who come to brighten up Elton John’s performance.

But McCartney is not alone. There is a lot of speculation about who will have Elton John as a guest in his last concert in Great Britain, which is also the closing act of the festival. It would be four special guests. That is what John’s husband David Furnish told commercial TV broadcaster ITV.

When Furnish was asked which stars would guide Elton, he said he was sworn to secrecy. The singer himself had recently reported that he had booked rehearsal space to practice with his guests.

On Saturday, Britney Spears posted messages on social media that suggest she is on her way to England for Glastonbury. The choice of Britney would not be strange. Last year, the two already worked together on the song Hold Me Closer. Dua Lipa’s name is also doing the rounds. The two had a hit with Cold Heart in 2021.

According to The Sun, it seems certain that Taron Egerton will climb Pyramid Stage on Sunday evening. The actor starred in the biopic Rocket Man Elton. Other names mentioned, or fans hoping for, are Paul McCartney and Harry Styles.

Who did Dave Grohl collaborate with on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury

Ncert, but unfortunately, that did not happen. Despite this, fans were still thrilled with the surprise appearance by Grohl.

Glastonbury attendees were in for a treat on the second day of the music festival as Dave Grohl made not one, but two special appearances. The talented Foo Fighters guitarist first joined The Pretenders on stage, showcasing his drumming skills and adding an extra layer of rock to their performance.

But it was his surprise collaboration with Guns N’ Roses that really got the crowd buzzing. Axl Rose, lead singer of the iconic rock band, enthusiastically welcomed Grohl to join them on the Pyramid Stage. The two guitarists rocked the stage, proving that there can never be too many guitars.

Together, Grohl and Guns N’ Roses performed the popular hit “Paradise City,” giving festival-goers an unforgettable finale to the band’s set. The crowd couldn’t help but sing along, creating a magical moment where music united thousands of fans.

Rumors had been circulating that another music legend, Paul McCartney, might also make an appearance during the Guns N’ Roses concert. However, this turned out to be just speculation, leaving fans slightly disappointed. Nevertheless, Grohl’s presence more than made up for it, leaving everyone in awe of his incredible talent and versatility.

As the second day of Glastonbury came to a close, fans were left with memories of Grohl’s remarkable performances. His ability to seamlessly transition from drumming with The Pretenders to rocking the stage with Guns N’ Roses is a testament to his musical prowess. It’s safe to say that Dave Grohl had an extraordinary and fulfilling night at Glastonbury.
