Dauwpop has won the Festileaks Festival Award for best festival. More than 100,000 festival goers cast their votes via Festileaks and the Overijssel event emerged as the winner.
The organization is pleased with the recognition. “We are extremely proud of what we have achieved as a festival – as a team of volunteers, employees, artists and audiences. We could only have done this together and this is the icing on an already fantastic cake,” says festival director Rob Telgenkamp. .
The 27th edition of Dauwpop took place on June 2 and 3 in Hellendoorn. Artists such as The Prodigy, Franz Ferdinand, Son Mieux, Goldband and The Opposites performed. It was the first time that the festival was longer than one day.
Other festivals receiving an award include Tomorrowland for the best festival site, Defqon.1 for the atmosphere and Best Kept Secret for the best food and drinks.
Earlier this month, Festileaks announced that Queens of the Stone Age had been voted by the public as the best festival act of 2023.
