The concert will feature a program featuring works by both domestic and foreign composers. Listeners will hear Max Räger and the always colorful Edward Grieg from foreign composers. On the other hand, Tālivaldis Ķeniņš will perform from Latvian composers, as well as a new work by Agneta Krilova, a well-known Latvian composer.
Daumants Liepiņš is a recognized Latvian pianist with rich experience. In 2017, he won the Latvian Grand Music Award in the category The young artist of the year. In 2020, he was ranked in the magazine Pianist rubric A pianist to be heard in 2020 at the very top. Daumant’s professional experience also includes working with the Liverpool Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, Georgia National Symphony Orchestra and others.
Madara Liepiņa, on the other hand, is a talented violinist who has participated in many competitions and festivals in the Baltic States, Germany, Sweden, Armenia and elsewhere. She learned to play the violin with the famous teacher Roberto Mutoni.
