Bowie was hospitalized 3 weeks ago due to an infection with the RS virus, a respiratory infection. The little girl eventually ended up in intensive care, but luckily was allowed to leave last week. She has now recovered to such an extent that she can go home again.

Rick Paul says on his Instagram account that he is very happy. ‘Finally! The time had come. She was allowed to go home this morning,” he writes. ‘After 3 weeks, 3 different hospitals, of which 7 days on the IC! Kudos to all the wonderful nurses and doctors who have helped and assisted us lately! What a rollercoaster it was, our world turned upside down, our summer totally messed up. Emotionally we are now as thin as paper and the recovery will take some time. But we have each other and we have a good time together! Proud of us!’
