After the publication of this play in 2000, the work was successfully staged in several Latvian theaters and also screened. Now the director Dmitrijs Petrenko offers his vision of the play at the Daugavpils Theater, for whom it is his first work at the Daugavpils Theater. –

A show about how to find yourself in the complex reality of life, how to grow, to become independent. This will be largely reflected through the father-daughter relationship, and especially through the psychological portrait of the modern man. The new actress of Daugavpils Theater Agnese Laicāne is also making her debut in this show, immediately becoming one of the actors in the main role.
Inga Ābele’s “Dark Deer” has already been staged at the Valmiera Drama Theater, the New Riga Theater, and in 2006 “Dark Deer” was screened by director Viesturs Kairišs. Dmitry Petrenko has his own way, staging the play at the Daugavpils Theater. It is also his debut at the Daugavpils Theater, and it is his challenge and vision for this play and the message in it.
