Dattak Raises €11 Million in Series A Funding for Cyber Insurance Expansion

The French startup Dattak, which launched in 2021 on the cyber insurance market, announces a Series A fundraising of €11 million. Among the investors are XAnge (Siparex Group), already present during a first round of funding in 2022, as well as two new entrants, Breega and Bpifrance. This raising brings the total amount of funding raised to €18 million.

Dattak offers an insurance product for SMEs coupled with tools for auditing and identifying security vulnerabilities to be resolved. It works in conjunction with insurance brokers who are responsible for distributing it to their clients. With this new financing, the company wishes to extend its offer and adapt it to ETIs with a turnover of up to €200 million.

Another Dattak goal is to double the size of its team, from 25 to 50 people, by recruiting developers, cyber experts and insurance. Insurtech, which boasts a portfolio of nearly 1,000 customers, finally has the ambition to exceed a business volume of €10 million in 2024 and to begin to expand in Europe.
