One year after the World Cup in Russia, the next official competition for the South American selections will be the Copa America 2019. A tournament which brings together the 10 federations of the continent and for the occasion, two Asian guests: Japan and Qatar.

Chile, reigning champion of the Copa 2015 and of the Centenary edition, in 2016, disputed in the United States, each time won against Argentina, will go to Brazil to defend their crown. A first big challenge for Reinaldo Rueda at the head of La Roja.

This 2019 edition will take place in Brazil, which was originally scheduled to host the tournament in 2015, before trading with Chile. Brazil had already hosted the 2013 Confederations Cup, the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, which caused them to revise their plans for the Copa America.
