This 2019 edition will take place in Brazil, which was originally scheduled to host the tournament in 2015, before trading with Chile. Brazil had already hosted the 2013 Confederations Cup, the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, which caused them to revise their plans for the Copa America.
