The president of the Generalitat, the socialist Ximo Puig, will propose to initiate the external mobility of the Valencian Community with the Region of Murcia and the Balearic Islands and later with Castilla La Mancha and Aragon, although on a date yet to be decided and provided that it is in phase 3 of de-escalation. This was stated by the Valencian president at a press conference in the Alicante-Elche airport, the fifth in Spain and like the rest currently practically paralyzed, in his first official visit to the Alicante province since the state of alarm was decreed due to the health crisis of the coronavirus covid-19 last March.
Between provinces of the Region from Monday
The head of the Consell has explained that as of next Monday 15, if the entry into phase 3 of de-escalation is confirmed, in principle it is expected to authorize the transit between the Valencian provinces (Alicante, Castellón and Valencia) by virtue of the delegated authority assumed by the Autonomous Administration.
And it has continued that it will be from then on, on a date to be specified and always prioritizing the concept of “prudence”, when will it arise “as quickly as possible the opening” of the mobility of citizens and “in accordance with the border autonomous communities”. “In principle, with Murcia and the Balearic Islands” the start of mobility will be requested, and then with some other provinces, Castilla La Mancha and Aragón.
Puig has commented that the southernmost region of the Valencian Community, the Vega Baja of Alicante, has historically a “close” relationship with Murcia and, therefore, the Council he presides will take into account “this reality”.
