The sentencing court, chaired by the lawyer, Fátima Soledad Rojas, set a date for September 10 to begin the oral and public trial in the case of the mayor of San Antonio, Raúl Isaac Mendoza Ramos, a liberal tabloid.
The communal holder must appear that day in the courtroom of the courthouse of the town of Luque, at 10:30. However, various sectors of the society of San Antonio expressed their dissatisfaction with transferring the case to the aforementioned district.
Everything seems to indicate that Magistrate Rojas will seek to whitewash the communal chief, because he would be a servile of Mendoza’s lawyer, the former judge of the capital, Meneleo Insfrán Riveros. In addition, it is rumored that the communal chief himself is rushing the process before leaving office.
Mendoza was accused by the Lambaré court for a breach of trust, a property damage of more than G. 850 million is mentioned from the resources of the National Fund for Public Investment and Development (Fonacide).
The process to the mayor began in 2016 and corresponds to his first term of office (2010-2015). It was prolonged as a result of chicanes and challenges against the prosecutor, María José Pérez, who continues in the case.
The municipal board also rejected all the balances presented by Mendoza throughout this second period (2015-2020). Again there are complaints of over-invoicing in the works, one of the emblematic represents the cultural center that cost more than G. 4 billion.
There is also a complaint about alleged illicit enrichment in the prosecutor’s office for economic crimes, against the communal chief and his closest family environment. Said complaint has been drafted since last year.
