After Bordeaux and Lille, TDF has opened its third Datacenter in Rennes in July 2014.
This project, representing an investment of 4M €, is a response adapted to the needs of local businesses and thus contributes to the digital development of the regions.
TDF intends to open a dozen Datacenters throughout France in the years to come.
TDF is also deploying an ultra-high speed network to interconnect all of these sites in order to allow both equipment hosting and connectivity with the outside world.
Adapted and secure infrastructures
Thanks to the switch from analogue to digital television, TDF now benefits from available infrastructures with significant energy and telecom capacities.
The Rennes Datacenter, located in a non-floodable and non-seismic zone, is installed on the TDF Cesson Sévigné transmitting site, which allows it to benefit from a significant energy capacity, secure infrastructure and optimal quality of service.
The site also has a double optical fiber adduction, facilitating connection to various operator networks. Thanks to its Ultra High Speed Network, TDF provides multi-site hosting solutions to companies looking for better data security.
Controlled energy consumption
Maximizing energy efficiency and implementing innovative equipment (free cooling, etc.) are key elements in the design and operation of TDF Datacenters.
For each new Datacenter deployed, TDF launches a process to obtain the European label ” Code of Conduct Participant Which recognizes the energy efficiency of data centers.
Thus, the Bordeaux Datacenter is the 21st certified French Datacenter. The labeling process for the Rennes Cesson Datacenter will be implemented in the summer.
