A computer error on Friday night meant that Tesla owners around the world could not connect to the car with the mobile app.

The problem appears to have affected Tesla owners in a number of countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, Denmark, Germany and South Korea.
Several owners tweeted that they were unable to start the car by unlocking the vehicle with the mobile app. However, it was possible to use key cards instead, something not everyone necessarily carries with them.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to one of the users, a Tesla owner in South Korea. The function should be back in place now after a faulty network error, Musk tweeted.
– Sorry, we’ll take action to prevent this from happening again, writes Musk.
Meanwhile, several had expressed their dissatisfaction.
– I am stuck for an hour from home because I usually use my mobile phone to start the car, writes a Tesla owner.
Thousands of Tesla owners have been locked out of their cars because the Tesla servers went down two hours ago. I’m among them. They said that we help the environment to own an electric car, but walking is not what I had in mind, writes another.
